Terms of Service
Last updated · August 25, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of eidos.space, Eidos accounts, purchases, and optional hosted services, including Eidos Sync and Eidos Publish. By using those services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the hosted services.
2. Software and open-source licenses
Eidos File, Eidos Lite, the command-line tools, and related source code are provided under the licenses published with each project or package. Those licenses govern the software itself. These Terms govern accounts, commercial transactions, and hosted services and do not replace the applicable open-source licenses.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account and authentication methods secure, for information submitted through your account, and for promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized use. You must provide accurate information and may not use the service in a way that impersonates others or violates applicable law.
4. Purchases, Credits, and subscriptions
Prices, included service, billing period, and renewal terms are shown at checkout. Payments may be processed by Creem or another identified provider. Eidos Credits are prepaid service value used for eligible Eidos services; they are not cash, a bank deposit, or cryptocurrency. Promotional Credits may have separate limits or expiration terms disclosed when granted.
Recurring subscriptions continue for the period shown until canceled. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period. Taxes, refunds, and payment disputes are handled according to applicable law and the terms shown at checkout.
5. Your data and content
You retain your rights in the files, responses, and other content you create or submit. You grant Eidos only the limited, non-exclusive rights needed to transmit, store, process, display, and return content that you choose to use with a hosted service. This permission lasts only as needed to provide, secure, and operate the service, subject to required legal and operational retention.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate local backups and for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload, publish, or collect the content and personal data you submit.
6. Publish and Forms
Eidos Publish lets you make supported files and Forms available to others under the access setting you select. Public content can be accessed, copied, linked to, or cached by others. Password and account restrictions reduce access but do not replace your responsibility to choose appropriate content and recipients.
If you publish a Form, you determine the questions, collection purpose, audience, and use of responses. You must provide respondents with any legally required notice, obtain necessary consent or other permission, honor applicable data rights, and use responses only for lawful purposes. Unless Eidos separately agrees in writing, do not use Eidos Publish for regulated sensitive personal data or services directed to children.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use the services to violate law or others' rights; publish unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or abusive content; distribute malware; expose credentials or secrets; interfere with service operation; probe or bypass access controls; abuse shared resources; or provide unauthorized third-party access. We may limit abusive traffic or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users and the service.
8. Content reports and enforcement
Eidos does not undertake to review all hosted content before it is published. We may investigate reports and remove or restrict content, preserve relevant records, limit features, or suspend or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to address unlawful content, infringement, abuse, security risk, these Terms, or a valid legal request. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we may notify the affected account holder.
Reports about hosted content should identify the publication, explain the issue, and include sufficient contact information and supporting details. Send reports to support@eidos.space.
9. Service plans and limits
Hosted services are subject to the features, storage, file-size, runtime, traffic, response, and retention limits shown on the applicable pricing, checkout, or account page. Limits may differ by service and plan. We may reject uploads or restrict use that exceeds those limits or threatens service reliability.
Custom services are governed by the written order, configuration, or other agreement accepted by Eidos and the customer. Dedicated capacity, service levels, data handling commitments, or higher limits apply only when expressly stated in that agreement.
10. Service changes and availability
Hosted services may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes. Local Eidos files remain independent, but you should export, collect, or fetch any remote data you need before a hosted entitlement ends. After termination or deletion, remote data may become unavailable and may be removed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable service rules.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the software and hosted services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Access controls, backups, and security measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee that data will never be lost, copied, or accessed without authorization. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Eidos and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, or data arising from use of the services. Liability that cannot legally be limited remains unaffected.
13. Changes, termination, and contact
We may update these Terms and will publish the new version and effective date here. We may suspend or terminate hosted access for material breach, abuse, legal requirements, or security risk. You may stop using the services at any time. Questions and content reports can be sent to support@eidos.space.
